The highlight of the evening was the formal presentation of awards to all the honorees by the Honourable Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya. Presiding over the ceremony was Surajit Barua, President of the Maitry Peace Foundation and a revered Buddhist monk. In his address, he reflected on the importance of empathy, collective action, and the timeless relevance of peace-centered leadership.
